Wedding #2

Mr and Mrs Alex and Heather Dominguez

Aggie waiting for his bride... Lola named him Aggie when she couldn't pronounce Alex... and it stuck... he will forever be our Aggie...

We are missing the other ring bearer, but hey what do you expect?  He and Lola are two.  At one point Lola came and sat on my lap too...  Look closely... Lola still has her binky too... lol

She is going to miss her big Sissy... I just love this picture... my lil tomboy all girlied up.  Can you see the band aid from her scratching off the scab AFTER we put the dress on her???

My niece... Mya, My Miracle Miranda in the middle and Lola... Lola the Last... The three princesses...

And the princes... one that really does not want to wear a tuxedo... and really would rather be in his mom's lap!!!

They were so nervous they forgot to kiss!!  But you can see the glow on their faces... they are happy!!!

Mother and Father of the Bride... Russ and I.  I wish it was more clear... Russ is so handsome all dressed up...

My son and my Mother in Law... she's moving OK for having a heart attack in between weddings...

Oh yeah... we forgot to do that on the stage!!!

My nephew Bryce... wow how they all grow up so fast.  I have pictures of Heather and him playing in Grandma's buffet as toddlers... they are only a couple years apart...

The guys...

The girlz...

This is where we all left for the reception hall and left the newly weds to take further pictures.  I was never so happy to see her out of the modesty smock... The gold bead work is just gorgeous!

They are sitting outside the Kingdom Hall.  It ended up being a gorgeous day... and they are such an adorable couple.

Awwww.....  tehehehe

This is too cute because both their eyes are closed...:)

The Dining Hall with the Bride and Groom to the front...

The Food Hall... salad bar boats... pulled pork and pulled chicken... rolls, side salads, sandwiches, chips, lemonade, tea, sparkling cider, it was a feast...

And cakes.. plural...

Because some of us like Chocolate...

Aaand some of us like blocks of wood.  We had a slight mishap with a cake layer so we did the only thing we knew how...  we put a block of wood in its place and frosted the cake.  We made sure that the Father of the Bride ( aka... Russ) worked really hard to figure out what was wrong with his piece... on the bottom of the wood was a note from 'one blockhead to another'...  letting my main man know how much I still love and adore him...  and the cake piece is now tucked away for safe keeping... never to see inside of a wood stove... :)

All I could do is laugh... hmmm... we have a little car... and its full... how do we get this all home???  My advice... pretend its a cow... or turkeys... or some other form of livestock... it will fit... we have pictures... ford escorts work best... but the Taurus will work!  :)

And the evening wore on with people visiting and when the night was over... Lola shows it the best...

Great Party... Its time to crash!

I think that catches us all up for the summer.  We disappeared for months I know... but we had our hands full.  As soon as the wedding was over, we began packing the mobile up.  That led into October with Russ' back surgery... which immediately was followed with moving into the travel trailer for the last 6 weeks while the house is being finished.  So now we can fast forward to what our next post will include... our new house!!!  A whirlwind year... ending with a bang!
Until next time... hug your kids... and tell them you love them.  They grow up too fast, and before you know it, they are gone.

Wedding #1

Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin and Mercedes Gonzalez
and Tristen

No we haven't lost our minds... well not that I am going to admit to right away.  Edwin's family could not make it on such short notice, so we embraced modern technology and put Wi-Fi, a laptop, and Skype to work.  His family was on the other end... his mother being walked down the aisle in traditional form... She was then led the rest of the afternoon around meeting people and watching the newlyweds cut cake and open gifts... it was fun...

Beatimous!

The little flower girls seeing how fast they can dirty their dresses...

My poor Grandson... The tuxedo is hot... and all he wants is to nurse...

And they live happily ever after... right???

Wheew... one more to go...

Seriously though... I have lost an entire folder of pictures from this wedding.  I cant find the ones of the cake, the food area, the formal shots that we ended up using for wall mounted pictures... once I find them I will add more...  gotta love living in limbo and not being able to find anything!

Backing up to June

Beginning in June things began to rock and roll... it began with graduation of our Oldest girlz... Here's a few of them finishing out High School.

With Grandma and Grandpa

Remember the pinky's...

Pinky promise fulfilled!

With Russ and I...

As little girls these two were inseparable.  Heathers room was decorated in Dolphins for years... her living room is still decorated in dolphins... so it was a fitting theme for their farewell speech I gave at their graduation party that followed a week later.

The Great Dolphin Team
Many moons ago in a sea not so far away
Met two little dolphins that instantly went to play
Attached at the fins and inseparable at heart
The two frolicked in the sea scape discovering each part
From two different pods the two little calves met
But the bond between them was forever set
It was in the second grade the grand plans were made
With a pinky fin promise to graduate together one day
In the little dolphin school they went about their days
Learning and dreaming in little dolphin girl ways
With elementary school over, the little pair grew
Into Dolphin middle school and training bras too!
As middle school ended the sea began to churn
In the great storm they were split, for each other they did yearn
Much like the barking chain that you hear in the canine bark
The two dolphins would echo from sea life to sea shark
Never ending their love, their friendship still grew
But for what was in store, neither of them knew
The one fragile dolphin searched for the pod that she lost
But found love in another pod not knowing the full cost
The other dolphin and her pod left after the great storm
They swam deeper into sea to try and keep warm
The great storm had left all the dolphins so very chilled
But high school dolphins now their minds fancied and thrilled
Of ways to live out their childhood dream
Of finishing dolphin school as the great dolphin team
As the lost dolphin searched and echoed for a way
The pod that loved her most kept listening everyday
The little dolphins dreamed of making it to Japan
Living in dolphin condos and having the best tan
And finally the echo came from ever so far
Little dolphin lost was near but the trip had been hard
She brought with her a little dolphin calf in tow
Best little dolphin she will ever grow to know
So the two teenage dolphins were together again
Although things were now different, as their lives began
No longer BFF dolphins, but spiritual sisters at heart
Bickering ensued but both did their part
Realization that their goals had somehow shifted
Love for each other gave them something so gifted
To live out their one last childhood dream
To graduate dolphin school as the great dolphin team
Today we sway gently in the Great sea of life
The storms are at bay and their futures are bright
Both of my dolphins have Jehovah in their heart
And both of my dolphins have grown to be smart
As our two little dolphins jump up today and bow
They drop back into the sea as graduates now
Through all of their lessons, heartaches, and dreams
With a pinky fin promise… I give you… the great dolphin team

Next...

Foundation runners in...

I am so tired I cant even put into words how fatigued I am.  If this blog site would upload pictures faster than snail mail I would add more photos, Russ took over 200 yesterday!  But beings it wants to take forever to load... here is a few of the next phase...

I now only have two muscovys outside the coop yard.  Russ caught me clipping the wings on this boy to keep him flightless.  As you can see Rebel is right there making sure I was clipping just right.

The runners begin...

And so do the bubbles... :)

The holy porch making its way to the burn pile... A good place for it...

Two cement trucks were used... look at all the mud!!!!

Fillin them in...

Trenches for the power and phone...another one is to the right for the water...

Starting to look real out there!  Do you see the hazelnut bushes to the right??  Just remember them...

One of the muscovys still out... She is sleeping in the rabbitry where she hatched out these five babies... what is she thinking in November!

Remember those hazelnut bushes?  Well they were in the way... but they arent anymore....

Phase two complete...

Phase three will be leveling the ground and taking those bushes in the back to the left out... its pouring so I think we will see Curtis with his tractor tomorrow...

I'll update with the next phase as soon as it happens... :)
Until then... have a ducky day!  Put on  your webbed feet and paddle through!

Good Morning Monday!!!

Good Morning Monday!

So I haven't slept well in days.  Insomnia seems to have my number and I spent most of Sunday night and Monday morning fighting covers, tossing, turning, removing Lola's feet from my ribs, and just being miserable.  She finally awoke and I could see gray in the window blinds so I knew morning was here.  But it wasn't 'late' enough so I encouraged her to snuggle.

She refused!  And with closed eyes I thought... fine let her play... I am just going to lay here for 10 more minutes...  For the first time all night I stretched my aching body.  I sighed and told Russ who was now stirring as well... "I need to just stretch out and rest a little while longer and I'll get up and make coffee."  He reached over and snuggled in...

And the loud knock on the door sent us both reaching for the ceiling.... Good morning Monday!

Curtis had arrived with his CAT and was ready to work.  So Russ got up... and I slowly got my bearings about me and joined the world of the living.  Well sort of...

Here is today's progress:

Scraping away the mess.  Russ and I have the project of cleaning up the undermess of the old mobile, so if the rains let up tomorrow we will begin.

Did I mention its been raining?

Test hole and now mountain of dirt... :):)

My Lil helper.  I wish I could get in closer so you can see her Binky... Its two front teeth with a moustache... classic!  Our Son in Law bought it for her.. and is now her favorite... she asks for her 'face binky'.. lol

Russ wants a CAT now too... not sure why?  lol

Laying the lines for the runners.

We have their approval.  After careful inspection... they went back to the yard...

Russ was climbing the mountain of dirt to get this picture...  Kinda makes you realize how big its going to be...

All done... now we wait for the county to inspect the forms.  As soon as we have their approval... they will pour the concrete runners.  We are only putting up skirting right now to get things done with as minimal funds out of pocket...

I think they look great!  Inspection complete!  right???

Looking from the far fence line...

I couldn't help this one of Mr Cluck.  Isn't he just the most adorable banty!  I really need to find him another Mrs. Cluck or a new home... he wont go in the coop... and is so lonely... She was sitting on a clutch of eggs in the garden and I think either a coon or skunk got her... for days he would go to the gate and wait for her like he did all the time... and she would come to eat with him before returning to her nest... its just too sad!!!

Partial new driveway... will finish once everything else is done and the trailer is moved...

And so it took hours for blogger to upload these pictures... and I am beyond tired.... until next time... Happy Housing!
